Kolkata Metro

The Metro Railway of Kolkata was built increasingly from 1972 to 1995. In First Phase of construction of Kolkata metro, a length of 3.04 Kms. from Esplanade to Bhowanipur had been completed in 1984. Full length of 22.3 Kms was custom-built in 1995.

Kolkata Metro Route

Metro Railway, Kolkata (Calcutta) is the first underground Metro Railway in India. The Kolkata metro rail lineline runs from Dum Dum (North Kolkata) to Kazi Nazrul (South) through Park Street, Esplanade (middle part of Kolkata) and covers the length of 22.3 kilometers. Metro in Kolkata (Calcutta) are 21 Stations in route at about one km apart.

Delhi Metro

The Delhi Metro is a fast transportation system in Delhi, the state that posses the city of New Delhi, the capital of India. The Delhi Metro is being constructed and is operated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC). The first part of the Delhi Metro was opened for public on December 24, 2002. Delhi Metro is under construction and DMRC has planned to cover whole city with metro with the eve of 2012.

Delhi Metro Route

Unlike Kolkata Metro which has only one straight route, Delhi Metro is a network of routes covering full state and neighbouring area of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Red Line Route (from Dilshad Garden to Rithala) is 25 kilometers. The Yellow Line route (Jahangirpuri - Central Secretariat) is about 17.36 kilometers. Out of two blue line rotes-Noida- Yamina Bank- Dwarka is of 47.4 kilometers and Yamuna Bank- Anand Vihar is of 6.25 kilometers.
